Our story

Who We Are

Thomson Select Cabinets, in 1995 bought The Cabinet Man, a kitchen design firm that has been doing business in Jacksonville, Florida for over 25 years. Our names have become synonymous with high quality and dedication to excellence. Our staff, led by Ted Thomson is the reason that our kitchen design firm is so highly regarded.

Ted Thomson says that there are three facets to his design philosophy. He says that these are to design the project around the lifestyle, to fit the needs of the individual and to educate the consumer, which enables them to understand every aspect of their project. This well-rounded approach to design is embraced by Ted’s clients.

This approach has been working for Ted for the last 27 years of his career in the furniture manufacturing and Kitchen and Bath Industry. This has led him to further his education and expectations of the business. Thomson Select Cabinets, Inc. is a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.

We moved walls, added lighting, changed the flooring and had a totally new kitchen and bathroom installed. From conception to completion Ted was the best. Without boring you with details of our finished home, we can only say Ted made what is normally a stressful experience go smooth. He clearly showed us our ideas (and his), using computer software.
